LISTEN Media Code of Ethics

Understanding the need for interfaith togetherness and education, LISTEN Media, Inc. exists to promote and achieve religious and cultural diversity. Its directors, volunteers and staff embraces fairness, inclusiveness, diversity, innovation and integrity, and works to advance LISTEN Media, Inc.'s mission.

As a nonprofit organization, LISTEN Media, Inc. strives to be accountable to its stakeholders, transparent in its operations, responsible in its stewardship of resources, and committed to excellence.

This Code of Ethics applies to all members of LISTEN Media, Inc.'s board of directors, volunteers and staff. Volunteers include any individual choosing to work without monetary compensation on behalf of LISTEN Media, Inc.

LISTEN Media, Inc. is actively committed to informing the directors, volunteers and staff about the code of ethics and its application; evaluating the code regularly; creating policies and procedures that reflect its values; and maintaining a copy of this Code within our Policies and Procedures Guide.

Mission
It is the mission of LISTEN Media, Inc. to foster mutual respect and understanding among people of diverse spiritual paths and by serving as an information, education and networking resource to spiritual seekers.

Legal Compliance
LISTEN Media, Inc.'s directors, volunteers and staff members comply with all applicable laws, regulations and international conventions.

Personal and Professional Conduct
In their dealings as representatives of LISTEN Media, Inc., our directors, volunteers and staff act professionally with honesty, integrity and openness. They treat each other and LISTEN Media, Inc. stakeholders fairly and with respect. Directors, volunteers and staff members are responsible for being aware of and complying with LISTEN Media, Inc. policies that address their conduct.

Conflict of Interest
LISTEN Media, Inc. directors, volunteers and staff act in the best interest of the organization rather than in furtherance of personal interests or the interests of third parties, such as friends and family. Decisions about LISTEN Media, Inc. and the use or disposition of its assets are made solely in terms of the benefits to LISTEN Media, Inc. and are neither influenced nor appear to be influenced by any private profit, personal gain, or outside benefit for board members, staff or other volunteers; their friends and family members; or the organizations with which they are affiliated.

Board of Directors
LISTEN Media, Inc. has an active board of directors that sets LISTEN Media, Inc.'s mission, strategic direction, and policies; and has oversight of its finances and operations. The board ensures that its members, volunteers and staff act for the benefit of LISTEN Media, Inc. and its public purpose with integrity and honesty; that LISTEN Media, Inc.'s resources are responsibly and prudently managed; and that LISTEN Media, Inc. has the capacity to carry out its programs effectively. The board also supervises, evaluates and determines appropriate compensation for all employees, and ensures that LISTEN Media, Inc. is fair and inclusive in its employment policies.

Volunteers
LISTEN Media, Inc.'s volunteers are often are the face of LISTEN Media, Inc. to their peers and the public. When acting on behalf of LISTEN Media, Inc., volunteers understand their duties and execute them to the best of their abilities. They convey the mission and goals of LISTEN Media, Inc., and as its representatives, refrain from promoting their own institutions or businesses.

Integrity
LISTEN Media, Inc. responds to the needs of its stakeholders and is committed to improving its organizational effectiveness, programs, products and services. It strives to provide information that is accurate, clear and balanced.

Inclusiveness and Diversity
To enhance its effectiveness, LISTEN Media, Inc. promotes inclusiveness, and its directors, volunteers and staff members strive to ensure that diversity is reflected in its programs and committees. LISTEN Media, Inc. promotes diversity in its hiring, retention, promotion, board recruitment efforts and programming.

Fund-Raising and Business Practices
LISTEN Media, Inc. is truthful in its fund-raising solicitation materials. It handles information about donations with confidentiality to the extent provided by the law, expends funds consistent with donor intent, and provides appropriate acknowledgement and recognition. LISTEN Media, Inc. discloses whether those seeking donations are LISTEN Media, Inc. board members, volunteers, staff or hired solicitors.

In all cases, and for the protection of the good name of LISTEN Media, Inc. and its stakeholders, LISTEN Media, Inc. may only enter into agreements with reputable organizations whose image, product and services do not conflict with its mission or values.

Disclosure
LISTEN Media, Inc. provides basic data about its operations to the public via its corporate website. Basic data includes, but is not limited to, the IRS Determination Letter, Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, Financials, Code of Ethics and IRS 990 forms (via GuideStar link).

Confidentiality
LISTEN Media, Inc. board members, volunteers and staff may have access to confidential and privileged information about LISTEN Media, Inc., its stakeholders, and other constituents. Loyalty to LISTEN Media, Inc. requires that individuals with access to such information comply with privacy and confidentiality policies and treat all information responsibly and appropriately.

Use of this Code of Ethics
LISTEN Media, Inc.'s Code of Ethics is a living document, designed to be disseminated, used and updated. LISTEN Media, Inc.'s Board of Directors will annually review the code and disseminate it via its website.
