Volunteering for LISTEN Media

Any tax-exempt organization depends on volunteers. LISTEN Media is ALL volunteer. From our CEO to our Senior Editor, and from our bookkeeper to our attorney to our website staff, all of us do this work out of love for the mission. Want to get involved? We *always* need assistance! Here are a few specific things we need help with right now:

Accountant -- we need a registered CPA to review our books monthly, or even quarterly, and to help us prepare our taxes each year. Will exchange advertising for this very specific professional pro bono service. Contact us!

Marketing -- we need help with marketing! Is this your specialty? Contact our Marketing Director to discuss details!

Content Providers -- we are always on the lookout for great content for our site, and for the pages of If ... Journal. Do you write? create videos? can you audiotape your presentations? Are you a photographer? Want to share them with our Subscribers and Registrants? Check out our submission guidelines for more info on adding your mark to our site!

Proofreaders and editors -- is English your strong suit? Can you spot typos in books on the shelves at Barnes and Noble? We want to talk to you. We always need an extra pair of eyes to preview articles, as well as other website content and IFJ as a whole. If this task appeals to you, contact us!

Book, music and product reviewers -- Here's a chance to get a free copy of a book you've been wanting to read, or a CD from a band you love. Want to try out that new Tarot deck? Here's your chance! Book, music and product marketers will send free copies to the reviewer of our choice so that you can tell everyone what you thought of their product. Online Research Assistance -- if you like spending time online, we can use occasional assistance with online research, especially within the Prison Outreach Program. Our resources list needs regular updating (requiring seeking the organizations online and updating their info in the list), and we sometimes receive research request assistance from inmates who have no access to the Net.
